| Sinossi: Un giovane regista che prepara un documentario sull’erotismo, le coppie, la prostituzione sia femminile che maschile, sull’omosessualità, intervista un amico notaio, più anziano di lui che poco o nulla avrebbe a che fare con il tema, ma che per un’improvvisa emozione, forse stanco di mentire, per la prima volta confessa a se stesso un suo passato che non può più nascondersi. Tutti e due gli uomini sorreggono una telecamera con la quale si sfidano, ma ce n’è anche un’altra di sorveglianza, più un interfono dal quale la storica segretaria (ora moglie) del notaio ascolta tutto. Il regista scopre più di quanto avrebbe potuto immaginare. Il Notaio nega la verità appena detta. Poi: “Tutto come prima”. JUST LIKE BEFORE English synopsis: A young director interviews a Notary about his private life. Hopefully, this material will be a part of the first chapter of his documentary on “private stories”. The director is recording everything with his camera, but is not the only one. The interviewed is holding a camera as well. Two other security cameras are recording master shots. The director will be informed about the past of the Notary. The Notary's secretary and wife, is listening and viewing everything. At the end of his speech, the notary denies what he has just told is true. Then: “Just like before” TOUT COMME AVANT French summary: Un jeune metteur en scène qui prépare un documentaire sur l'érotisme et les couples, sur la prostitution soit féminine soit masculine, sur l'homosexualité, interviewe un ami notaire, plus vieil que lui, qui ne devrait rien avoir à faire avec ce sujet, mais qui, pour une soudain émotion, peut être fatigué de mentir, pour la première fois, avoue son passé qu'il ne peut plus cacher. Les deux hommes soutiennent une télé caméra avec laquelle ils se défient, mais il y a encore une autre de sûreté et un interphone avec lequel l'ancienne secrétaire (son femme) du notaire écoute tout ce qui passe. Le metteur en scène découvre plus de ce qu'il pouvait imaginer. Le notaire nie tout ce qu'il viens de dire. En fin: “Tout comme avant”. |

| “Just like before” Statement: My short movie is an "happy dogma" one. Dogma: because of the very low budget, happy: because we are happy to work in a completely freedom. A few info on "Just like before": I do like to name my experimental short movies "Happy dogma", because of the almost no budget, but the great happiness we feel studying how to shoot a movie, in a total freedom. In this case we have had 2 shooting days only. 7 cameras (2 of them are security cameras, 2 held on by two actors and 3 by regular cameramen) I wrote the screenplay (40 pages), I directed and edited the movie. I'm mostly a stage actor, so the idea of this movie was born during an acting improvisation of mine. Then I wrote the script. Federico Pacifici |
